Well...put a claim in against Group records via Paypal as 'Not Received'....and Paypal have just sent me an e-mail saying they "have not been able to recover funds from the seller's account". I then get another seperate message from them saying..."Based on Paypal's definition of significantly not-as-described, this claim does not qualify for a refund. We found the seller to have accurately represented the item(s) in question" What the F***! I claimed as NOT RECEIVED! I reckon because the seller (grouprecords) is no longer on ebay as a registered user, paypal can't be arsed to find him and given me this load of old crap, trying to make out the claim was for something else hoping i'll go away... thing is, I can't find a phone number for Paypal so I can give them some abuse....anyone know how to contact them without e-mailing as that's a waste of time. Also, I have put a claim in with my credit card (Goldfish Visa)...will this work?

Hi Pete...Great stuff! Some of my all time favourites there. I have the Pat Kelly 'If It Don't Work Out' as a later issue on UK Green door (1972) by Slim Smith, 1960's recordings though...flip is a soul cover too 'Let Me Love You'. Just a note to say I purchased 2 of your old fanzines the other day...'Beatin Rhythm' issues 2 & 3....great reading. Onto the subject of 'Soul' records by JA artists I have just picked up a copy of Jackie Edwards 'Oh Mary' UK Island....what a stomper! More for the Mod side of things really, UK recording and all that, but I love it...was quite surprised, bought it blind & cheap and thought with a title like that it'd be a bag of shite.

I've got the orange proper re-issue from 71 (Hib/Atco released, £25 about 6 years back off Ian Clarke) and have no problem playing this out, seen this go for £70. Like Pete say's, the orange boot is terrible sound wise! I like the look of the green ones....but nearly 100 squid!!!!!! I don't like it that much!!! I remember not too long back our local record store had the green one in his racks for ages @ £15.

Don't think so mate, there are several groups around the 60s with that name. I bought one on Reel the other week hoping it was them but it turned out to be a female doo wop group, northern(ish), but early girlie sounding...not my cup of tea.

Hi Pete, There is a CD just out called 'In The Snake Pit'...it's previously unreleased Motown instrumentals! Saw it on ebay yesterday, UK seller, kosher release.
