I think aquarius is the first label for the ultimate ovation, just because all their other records came out on their ultimate 1999 label. I managed to collect the full discography 001-1008 of ultimate 1999, i posted it in another thread if you want to search for it.

although I don't see anything pictured to respond to, just posting to let you know that this also got released as by the Original Bluebelles on the Rainbow

domestic five soul in-pressions ultimate ovation calvin golden (this also comes with two label designs, both are a red label and not the colorful one, but it is the same label) and there is a pop record on the label that I can't remember what it is right now. I think that's all the titles but if there were more pop records I wouldn't know. also, I've been told this label has no connection to the detroit Saquarius label that purple snow is on.

I think this is to protect themselves, not out of some arbitrary rule to prevent people from using their tracks. If they don't have a master in their official catalog it might not actually belong to them, it might belong to someone else.

i'm guessing the vast majority of bootlegs are. do you disagree with that?

just to be clear (thanks for actually giving a reason): the reason it's important to play originals is to keep people from hearing a record too much and getting tired of it?

what is your opinion on originals vs. boots on youtube?

scratch that, I pulled out the copy and although it is unplayed dead stock there are two light marks on the misled side. sorry.

I have a copy I can sell that I think is mint, would have to pull it out to confirm. But I'm not sure on a value on this one now, it has been going for a lot recently.

there was one relatively cheap in a recent tim brown list but it went very quickly. very rarely comes up for sale, my copy has water damaged labels and i was lucky to even get that.

I don't know but I have a Jim and Lee 45 on Front Page. I think everything on Front Page were NYC productions so they might be from new york.

I don't understand why a DJ would want to play an original or bootleg of a track that's so played out it has been bootlegged.

I've never heard this before, this is a good one. I also never heard the margaret glover cut above, no group but the weird flute makes it super spacey. the matthews definitely also fits.
