How Many More Al Williams Will Turn Up?
Look at his auctions now. He stole images and DESCRIPTIONS from other auctions. What's awesome is that his venturas auction is stolen from an auction where the label had the name scratched out, in the first part of his auction he says the label is perfect except for some x's, then in the second part (his copied description) it describes the label being scratched out as pictured. what a joke.

The Travelers- My Baby Doesn't Love Me Anymore - Glad Hamp
i thought about it and if i were to sell this i would probably want at least $200 due to rarity I guess. even if people think I'm low it's still not a big buck record at least.

by the way, I actually own that precisions on hen-mar now if you still need a recording of the flip (to my ears it's not good at all, it is northern though). I almost never play anything I don't own on 45 (except that delon washington that one time), mainly because I don't need to increase the competition on oddball things!

thanks, anyone have the other decisions 45 on york to sell me? Both sides of that are sweet soul, no northern side on that, so you know, it shouldn't be worth anything . It's the same group as on sussex, by the way, the name Fred White is on all the 45s, he also produced the Unity 45 on Apex that I played last week (there's a good northern side on that also).

thanks for noticing the magic thing, I forgot about it being on that list! I still don't know most of the other items. I'm pretty sure the guy singing lead on that platypus 45 is the same guy singing lead on the four corners on jewel, a very rare sweet soul 45.

The Flairs 'where You Live' - Rap
their first 45 is the flairs - i want you / all I need on the Southtown label
-
The Flairs 'where You Live' - Rap
this record is actually very rare in chicago because pretty much all the stock was imported to the UK and it didn't sell and wasn't really distributed. an even rarer record is the flairs earlier 45.

Innovation 2 Records - Full Label Listing
If anyone cares, I just did confirm that Velvet evolved out of the Flairs (there were two common members by the time the records were recorded), and I'll be interviewing the lead, Kennis Jones, on my show at the end of this month, it will be on my webpage and I'll post it in the media section when it happens.

Flash Mckinley
good call Dave, I'm retarded. Lester Tipton isn't actually credited on that record then, is he? He sings on that?
-
Lester Tipton
no, he was involved in the production

Flash Mckinley
I think you must have found on of the "LPTs" records, funny, I never made the connection that LPT = Lester Tipton

Rumour Or Legend?
another good one -- AVI records was owned by Liberace. Also, ALA records was owned by Redd Foxx.

Value Please: Terry And Deep South
i think craig moorer sold this a few days ago

Ebay Acetate - Little Wille Johnson
also, looking more at it, it looks maybe like a custom cut record from the 80s. There's a record store in Chicago, Beverly records, that used to do that for people. I can't explain why someone in california would cut that song though.

Ebay Acetate - Little Wille Johnson
I saw that, he doesn't say where he got it. Either way, some odd things show up in different places. Maybe he will answer your questions, it doesn't look that odd to me though. Also, most red and black audiodisc acetates I've seen / had are early-to-mid 60s, are later ones usually like that -- most later ones I have or have seen aren't red and black (they also usually don't have a label like that though).

the seller is tommy potts, he's a collector and he's on here, asking how a new orleans record got to him in california is like asking how a new orleans record got to the UK

jim porter was involved with the david martin record also. it also came out twice on jay pee. i think they are 3 different versions. david martin was the lead singer of the chymes, the girls on the rekord record are his sisters.

it is the same group, it's 2 of the CODs plus Stormy (who recorded on twinight). You can hear the interview on my webpage (www.sittinginthepark.com/interviews.html).

How Many More Al Williams Will Turn Up?
Ron Murphy's story was that there was only a test press of 6 copies. If that's the case, they probably didn't go on to destroy anything, and it's not unlikely that only 2-3 survived.

Thanks everyone. Do you have a link to the forum discussion on van jones, I'm interesting in finding out more, I think I have almost all his 45s. I think the Fred Moss is the same group as the perfections on big b, F. Moss has writing credits on the perfections 45 and his voice sounds the same. I think the "got to get my broom out" was about clearing out his past and not about anything dirtier. The Unity I played was from New Jersey, produced by Fred White, same guy behind the Decisions. It has a good 70s northern side that I'll play on another show. Thanks.
