Duane Yates "passin' On By" (N-Joy) Superb Copy
Duane Yates "Passin' On By / Anyone" (N-Joy) OFFERS, PLEASE - open until Friday at 18:00 GMT. Powerhouse R&B destroyer; one of the best of its kind and so sought-after. It only seems fair to let this one go open for bids. The vinyl is virtually mint, but the disc is slightly dished to a depth of 2mm or so at the apex. Thankfully, "Passin' On By" is the convex side, so there's no tracking or slippage issues (also, the dishing is even so there's no warp and playback is not affected). For what it's worth, the flipside doesn't slip on my turntable, but that side is garbage anyway. The dishing has caused a little storage ringwear on the label but this still may be the best copy yet to come up for sale. Audio & scan below are from the copy for sale: https://www.divshare.com/download/24645425-66d https://www.divshare.com/image/24645428-258

Horizon Give It Up (Shine) Rare Funky Modern Killer
HORIZON Give It Up / You Went Away (Shine) M- Killer first release from 1980 before their (weaker) stuff on AAA. A small handful of these Texas beauties were discovered recently and all seem to have dried up now. Has sold for ludicrous money (between £300 and £600) but I think £125 for a near minter is fair now they're all gone! Nice mellow stepper on the flip, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phoe7vf8Y2w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GtSvm6St4I

70's Leno Phillips - Four Below Zero - Africano - Machine - Frank Eddie
Yeah but the half was the good half. One of the Cat label 45s released at the same time the was similarly off-centre, every single copy (The Kinfolks, was it?) so some bloke at the plant was battered that day. Anyone know anything about Leno Philips? He was actually Philip Wright, wasn't he?

An old thread, this, I know - but just saw one of these for the first time recently and was disappointed that the bootleggers hadn't gone the whole way and call the artist "Loo Curtain."

Enchantments "i'm In Love..." Faro Orange/white Issue
Classic brassy stomper! Clips from actual 45 below. Still glossy, very light sleeve marks - I tend to grade harshly, so somewhere around VG to VG+. Not as mint a player as the demo that Manship auctioned for £300+ recently, but then issues seem to be hardly seen. Plays great though, no pops or clicks at all. Dunno what to ask for, so best offer over £200 by Friday March 2nd at noon? PayPal/cash/whatever. Work that out later. PM me or email mark AT mediahut.co.uk Part 1: DivShare File - 01 A.mp3 Part 2: DivShare File - 02 B.mp3 Cheers!

Betty "lavette Let Me Down Easy" (Karen Version)
Ah, I thought maybe he was an actual hitman. One you have to contact through an intermediary, you know. Rifle in a suitcase, piano wire belt and all that kind of thing. I'll give it a go, thanks Dave.
-
Betty "lavette Let Me Down Easy" (Karen Version)
Thanks, Dave. How do I reach this so-called Johnny Hitman? The Karen version is nothing like the Calla original. Rerecorded around 1969; nasty, heavy drums - a sort of grinding psych-funk version. Flip is dope as well. One man's meat is yada yada yada... Weingarden, you know what a travesty I am. A walking perversion, no less.
