I'm just posting up random things that I like - not necessarily northern. I hope that's ok. Here's a real melancholy tune - the best version (imo) out of many, many covers. Absolutely love it - it's a folk song really, blue eyed origins as we might say, but I think this ooozes my definition of soulful class. Nina Simone's take of Mr Beau Jangles - and he's still grieving after his dog up and died all those years ago. Beautiful. Peter
