  2. So are Eddie and Willie Kendricks related then?
  3. About right i reckon, so how much for the one on post 1 with the buggered flip? I reckon half that max????????
  4. Sold one mint - a few weeks back for a ton, had £130 on it for ages, seen a few go on ebay for less in past year or so,

What can i have for that beer you keep bangin on about?
  6. Well we agree on one thing Phil, recently i have spent far to much time sat at this machine, so i shall start cutting back on the late evening posts after a few glasses
  7. Fair do's Phil, but just for the record i am not defending the 'play anything DJ's' i'm merely pointing out that theres nothing to be gained (by me) by worrying about them, just the way i see it, personally, i wouldn't choose to attend Biffo's night, nor if i was a promoter would i choose to book him, but if he carries on doing what he's doing and people carry on paying to see/listen to him, then theres nothing anyone can do about it, so for me the best attitude is let em get on with it, Pete
  8. I was questioned on my life is too short attitude, as a middle aged man my life really is too short to have another middle aged man as my avatar, akin to teenagers having pop stars on their wall, With respect Phil, your opinion of who is number 1 is just that, an opinion, apologies if my opinion or anyone elses differs from yours, but life is all about opinions and understanding we will never all agree, Pete Eccles
  9. For the meantime
  10. Patrice HOLLOWAY
  11. Timi TRURO (ok not quite)
  12. Sean i remember a few years back at a popular local soul night anniversary. biffo the reident was on just before the named guest, played virtually all his set off one CD, track after track of the at the time soul night biggies, all of which were in the guest DJs box, At the end of Biffo's set he removed the CD from the drawer to proudly show it to the guest DJ as it had a picture of his family super imposed on the disc Guest DJ smiled shrugged his shoulders and got on with it,

  14. Hello Phil, I am assuming your opening line is reffering to my comments, When i say lifes too short, or it's not important i am not comparing it to terminal illnesses or world atrocities or the like, i am merely stating that my life is too short to be getting stressed over something that's always been there, always will be there, and all the screams of discontent about it are not gonna get rid of it, i further added what i like to do which is play ovo, no hidden agendas whatsoever, Give it another 6 months (maybe less) and there will be another multiple page thread on here covering much the same topic, and on it goes for eternity, with ZERO changing, So IMHO i reckon (for me personally) it's better to enjoy what i enjoy, not get too hung up about stuff i can't change, what's the point? and let everyone else enjoy what they enjoy, All just IMHO
  15. Jayne i have played at your venue a time or two, and always played ovo as i do wherever i am invited to play, which i don't believe makes me a DJ, but the point i am making is i don't care what anyone else plays, or any other venue, And to hint that people that run or attend cr&p venues don't bother with the internet is astonishing, Pete
  16. Cheers Mark, how much do you want to take the bugger off my hands He's ace really till i shout second issue then he knows he's in trouble
  17. I know what will help sort this out, i'm gonna find a venue, start a monthly night, charge peeps 3,4, 5, quid entry, and along with 2 or 3 mates play our bedroom/front room top 20's, if by chance the punters (dreadful term) don't have the same taste as me and my mates and don't instantly 'switch on' to the tunes i have listened to countless times in my 'bubble' i can always label them buffoons, come on here and preach that the minnions out there need educating (the worst term ever) and wonder why my/our music isn't appreciated by the ignorant masses, then we can all have a group hug and console each other in the knowledge we know best, That's if this hasn't already been tried? Do/dance/listen to and enjoy whatever it is that floats ya boat, and don't be dismayed/bewildered if it ain't anyone elses cup o tea, OVO or otherwise lifes too short,
  18. Was it a very small venue Sean?
  19. Nice one That signature still has me PMSL
  20. Is that not sorted or now sorted Donald?
  21. I would prefer otherwise, but they are out there getting asked for and getting played, but as Rod intimated, this thread can go on for eternity, zero will change, it's all pointless,
