Seriously though, I hope it didn't prove too costly, or better still you can retrieve the situation when you next catch up with the scoundrel that lowered your trousers

The Motown 7S Box Set: Rare And Unused
I've just used the code to download the tracks, after I selected the album I had to enter details such as name, post code and email before entering the code (or was it after? no matter) this information is compulsory before you can download, I wondered if being bombarded with backtoblack news letters would be worth me bothering, anyway after downloading I noticed an email in my junk folder asking me to verify my details to enable the afore mentioned updates, just deleted it

Frank Beverley Sassy White Demo 'if That's What You Wanted'
That sounds like the demos with 'this is just a "B" side' on flip should be tougher to find Ken, the opposite according to JMs, anyway glad we cleared up the fact both exist, no nearer to knowing which is for sale though

Frank Beverley Sassy White Demo 'if That's What You Wanted'
This is correct according to mine, however according to JMs guide there are two Sassy demos, regardless of the Gamble release,

Johnny Taylor.. Blues In The Night.. Otis Redding Flip
Booted, on the back of Terry Davies Championing both sides at Prestwich in it's heyday, both were only commonly known as album tracks, JT subsequently surfaced on a couple of euro releases, That's how I remember it anyway,

Are "hand Baggers" Taking Over This Scene?
My last comment on this, I don't remember saying the screens 'proved' anything, merely that those that are interested can see the said 45 and if they know/trust the DJ they will know it's for real, Those that don't even know the title/artist will only want to know what it is when they hear it, at which time it will be spinning at 45RPM so if they want to know anything they will ask the DJ anyway, It's a bit of fun that kinda adds something to the night, or as Phil suggests maybe it doesn't, but there is no way it could be used as an educational tool,
-
Are "hand Baggers" Taking Over This Scene?
The screens aren't there to tell the customers what the record is called or who sings it, whether you are convinced or not doesn't really matter, some of the countries major collectors/DJs have expressed they like the idea, why wouldn't they enjoy showing off their prized 45's? The thought that they might be there for educational purposes never crossed my mind, and I'm sure the promoters on here who use the screens would find the thought ridiculous, I could be wrong and will happily stand being corrected, Shazam is an app on your phone that will tell you what most tunes are, and has been for some years
-
Are "hand Baggers" Taking Over This Scene?
Yes I do I certainly don't think the screens are there to tell folk what the tune is
-
Are "hand Baggers" Taking Over This Scene?
I thought the screens at lot's of events nowadays were more to do with letting the collectors (or anyone that's interested) among the audience see that it really is that elusive rarity that you can hear loud and clear, and not some dodgy bootleg, never really thought it was actually to tell anyone what it's called or who sings it

This Cracks Me Up
I'm guessing that clip isn't related to the track, apart from it being Joe Tex, and has something to do with the equally sh*te 'aint gonna bump no more'

Rarest Of The Rare Nighters - Manchester Ritz
I think you're right Dave, re 98, also remember one that was a Motown top 50 (or similar) night, RS played most of what was to be played earlier on that day on his radio show, I seem to remember 'Wigan' nighters too
