  4. I´m not going to sell my records when I retire, because that´s when I will finally have time to listen to and enjoy all my records. I have a huge room crammed with vinyl, and being so busy at work and with family life, my only chance to really delve into my collection and play those records is when I get some free time, hope I live long and with my health intact, then I can use the last years of life to go through those stacks of records at long last...LOL...
  5. Talking of Major Harris. Did anyone hear Gary Spence´s interview with Major Harris on Solar Radio earlier this week? I missed it, but am waiting for an upload of the show, since a friend of mine promised to record it. Anyone else who heard it and/or recorded it?
  6. Some very interesting info here: https://souldennis.blogspot.com/2008/08/joh...-free-1980.html I´ve been in contact with "Dennis" before, he has loads of rare records in his collection. Keith John, one of the John Brothers has been touring with Stevie Wonder for many years. When Stevie did a show in Stocholm some five years ago I was there and had the pleaure of seeing and hearing Keith John perform live on stage. Also have one late-80´s solo recording by Keith John, he is a great singer. Somehow when Sigler is the songwriter/producer of a record the vocals are normally very soulful and melismatic, maybe because the lead singers try to emulate the way Bunny vocalled them on his demo versions. Regards, Mel
  7. Hi Bob! Great show, or I should say great shows in the plural, because I´ve listened to both and enjoyed them immensely! However, the first link was broken, because of a space between the "o" and the "m" in "com", so I had to retype it. Out of all the brilliant tunes played I think John Brothers´ "Try to Walk a Mile" is actually my #1 favourite, a great tune written and produced by Bunny Sigler, when a record bears his signature it is bound to be soulful! Best regards Mel
