  3. How about Marion Stewart - I must be losing you - R Records? I think this used to sell for approx 300 Ukp but last year quite a few copies turned up on ebay and i saw a few selling under 200 us $ g
  4. I've always liked mod-related styles, black&white r&b, freakbeat and psych, a bit of early reggae, funk, modern soul and disco, some power pop as well as some 60's-70's rock bands (Love, The stooges, CCR, Grand Funk etc), but over the past 2 years i've been seriously hooked on jazz, especially Chet Baker from the mid 50's till his later productions in the 80's. Both his singing and his trumpet playing are wonderful and in some ways very very soulful.
  5. Italian-based US collector/dealer Nancy Yahiro also has a copy, or at least she had one until 3-4 years ago. You might also try to contact her to see if she still has it. g

  12. Darryl, hello from Italy! Thank you for a very interesting read so far. All your recollections are so very precious because they show that behind a classy slab of vinyl there was always a bunch of classy and talented musicians/engineers/producers and singers of course Do you still sing/perform these days? You surely had a great and very rich voice back then, was it just a gift or did you get some "schooling" to develop your skills? I would really like to know how you actually got into singing and how you got to record for Wand. Ever got to write anything? How long did it take to record a song like NIACI back then? Sorry for asking all these questions, but i got really curious after reading your recollections on studios etc. best, giulio
  13. Hello Chris, would be interested in Justin on Uk Buffalo if still available. Does it play well?? Please pm me. thanx, g
  14. you are probably right, judging from this https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php...nr=390006307565 glad i didn't sell mine when i was offered 30 ukp
  15. Hello, I was recently listening to this great but weird track. Never heard it played out, so I was wondering if it's popular and what the value might be. Any idea? thanx g
  16. don't know what to say really... seems like most of ssourcers have experienced good business with this guy, but i actually haven't. Bought off him 4 years ago an r&b 7", never received anything until i called him (from italy) and he said the item had gotten lost in the post BUT he would have sent me another one (which turned out to be the same as in the ebay listing). Then i bought another off him which never arrived. This time the reason seemed to be a snow storm or a flood, possibly something like that. I never bought anything off him thereafter.
  17. I received today a copy of this beauty which has been on my want list for about ten years now!!! Was a bit surprised when I played it, because after approx 20 seconds the volume seems to jump up a little bit and then remains like that until the end of the track. Nothing annoying but noticeable. Has anybody else noticed this with their copies?? The matrix number on the run-out groove is K - 45 - 12499 on the keep on keeping on side and K - 12500 on the Moulding side. Thanx, g
  18. mmmmhhhh, i'm not quite getting these remarks... i mentioned the price this record (visually in better condition) was actually SOLD for (not only LISTED), twice in the past 6 months or so. These might be or might not be "real" market prices, the simple fact is that at least 2 people ( + Dave Abbot & Tommaso ) think they are. The reason why I am not selling it to JM (provided he might be interested in it) is that he wouldn't be paying this sum for a resale which is supposed to allow him a margin, it's pretty clear really. If an ex+ copy ends up at 225/250 ukp a vg+ copy (that plays better actually ) would end up at about 2/3 or less of the said price, hence the impossibility for a dealer to pay my price and get a margin. I am not a dealer, just a soul lover who happens to have a spare on this beauty and i offered it at a fair price. If the winners on the said auctions happened to pay that much, then the 2nd or the 3rd highest bidder (possibly members of the forum?) might be interested in it. If not I will keep it, or give it as a present or just use it as an ashtray or whatever it might be. Thanx for the interest shown anyway and for your kind suggestions, hope you will get things straight on other sales here mate, there's always a good deal of people willing to make money out of record sales best, g
  19. all right then, i'll have yours for 75 ukp, that's a 25% profit
  20. Gentle Bump! this recently sold on JM for 225 ukp... don't sleep!
  21. not willing to part with mine, reckon it's a 150-200 ukp record, turns up quite rarely (as it is also in demand for its deep flip), even thou I got one here last year via the wants section, so you should give it a try. great great tune with pumpin bass good luck
  22. Hi everybody, got a copy of Sonny Craver - I'm No Fool/I Wanna Thank you on Teri De. This is a fantastic double sider with a sublime mide-tempo side and a gorgeous cross-over/2 steppish flip (very much in the vein of today's sound!). BOTH TRACKS AVAILABLE ON REFOSOUL LABELS: Ringwear (ringdirt??) on both labels, both sides are stamped by the distributor "Michael J. Jackson" and there's a small biro writing on both labels (probably previous owner's name), nothing too obtrusive really. VINYL: I'm No Fool looks VG+ but plays easily like an EX/EX-. There's a tiny scratch towards the end of the song that causes 3 barely perceptible clicks when playing it with a Shure White Label (very very sensitive with any vinyl imperfection) so it's definitely great for djing and for domestic use as well. I Wanna Thank you looks VG+ and plays better, just a tiny amount of surface noise which will surely improve after a cleaning. Anyway, it is definitely a playable side for both large venues and tiny bedrooms I'm looking for 125 UKP, which is a good price IMO, considering an EX copy ended up at 250 on JM earlier on this year and a VG++ copy sold for 200 UKP just before the summer break. I am not able to provide scans or soundfiles, therefore there is a 100% refund policy if not satisfied. Paypal or bank swift accepted. pms or emails soulfuljools@yahoo.com might not be able to reply until this evening so please be patient if you don't get a sudden reply . best, Giulio
  23. american collector and dealer nancy yahiro has one, or at least she had one until a couple of years ago. thanx god she moved to italy a few years back, otherwise i wouldn't have had the chance to hear it played out (before JT actually did )!
  24. Soul Communicators - Those Lonely Nights The Jokers - Soul Sound (not 100% sure thou)
