Micky moonshine, reissue or original?
I suppose its not out of the question that they could have all been pressed at the same time and all be 1st issues.

Micky moonshine, reissue or original?
Well spotted though the stamped matrix on the original is the same as the printed number on the 2nd press ? so maybe some kind of mistake was made and then corrected when it was spotted ?

I’d put up a list of all the ones you know it isn’t as they are all going to be suggested. anything with clown in the title I assume you’ve already found ?

Anybody else feel like this
Under the broad umbrella of soul music there is a ridiculous amount of music under a lot of different genres, tempos and eras. the records I love now I wouldnt have given a second listen when I started so within the genre my tastes have evolved a lot. i don’t think the evolution of rock music would have been any greater than this. people are either passionately into music or they aren’t.

Anybody else feel like this
Our local paper ran a story of people leaving before the music had even started. at least you stuck it out and looks like you had a great time. i am looking forward to similar adventures with my kids as they get a bit older. Not sure i could manage download but if thats what they want to do i would have to give in.....

Two parts of Lee Moses' 'Bad Girl'
I can forgive that it’s got plenty of passion and emotion. i do like the lee fields as well equally as much. as a potential club tune HH has a better backing track.

Two parts of Lee Moses' 'Bad Girl'
And this great version

Two parts of Lee Moses' 'Bad Girl'
It plays a big part. There will be other factors but i'd say this is one of the main reasons.

Two parts of Lee Moses' 'Bad Girl'
I may be wrong but i think its to keep good quality grooves and make the track longer they just split the track over both sides of the single. Sometimes part 2's can go off into the groove a bit or experiment. It was most likely all cut at the same session. quite a lot of 45s are done like this.

Precisions - John Manships Auction
Flip side lovers plea is also great as a sweet soul side so collectible twice over. i had to check if I still had this but it’s gone.

Most expensive "common" records
And to state the obvious the opposite to this is very rare records not reaching similar prices or higher due to lack of exposure and lack of copies coming to market. maybe now after the scene existing for so long this is far less likely but in the not to distant past it was probably true.
-
Most expensive "common" records
It doesn’t take many dealers / collectors to hoover up cheap stock of a good record fairly quickly in reasonable quantity then they sell them one at a time. i’d feel Embarrassed paying today’s rate for something like Jeanette it’s so far away from what I believe the soul scene should be about.

Why no soul ?
Bbc4 does some good music shows if you check the iplayer not soul music but the recent documentary about the guy who produced dr Dre was very good. he also did lots of other musicians jimmy iovine is the name is was trying to remember
-
Why no soul ?
Solidsoul I agree most people just happy to listen to whatever is on the radio. not many people actually actively seek out more obscure music.
-
Why no soul ?
I was a regular listener to Paul Collins show and he has lots of mixes up on mixcloud now. those were excellent modern soul shows that featured some fantastic records.

- Male / Female variants
Isley bros / Judy white both did save me.- More madness. 7dwarfs
Isnt steve saying there are 2 different groups both called 7 dwarves ? no question that ambassadors were originally called 7 dwarves but as this record being discussed is later its likely to be a different seven dwarves ?- Sam Williams - Love Slipped Through My Fingers
This version has added female backing vocals and to me is a better version. fantastic record a rare one to- Is there a War going on in your box ?
