i've got the ikea onbe its good and solid. The shelves are split into equal sized square segments. I think there may be a couple of different size options as well.

Tagged the copy on ebay yesterday to watch out of curiosity how much it will sell for. but who discovered the first rouser copy and which club did the track on either rouser or fairmount first get played ? am I right in thinking it was a dave raistrick discovery ?

yes I have that record but only one side is playable "tell me tell me tell me" the other side is trashed.

Yikity Yaks "You ya you / Apart" Scope (Rudy Mockabe) Apart is a nice ballad with a doo-woop style sound to it. You ya you uptempo blues R&B type sound. Storng vocal. This is an early 60s record and features rudy mockabe on lead vocal. its a little too early for my tastes but the uptempo side may have some appeal to mod club or R&B DJ's the ballad is also quite nice but just not quite the sound I go for. 50GBP including delivery condition is vg+ has quite a few marks on the playing surface but has clean labels and plays great. by PM please if interested.

I spent a huge chunk of my life listening to electronic music so i'm not particulary against it at all I just thought that backing lacked any real strength. It didn't move me at all.

At least the kids will get to listen to a decent singer for once.

will have to check out the LP and hope it has a few tracks with less annoying backing tracks than that one.

Found a top want on ebay then completely forgot to bid. I would have taken some satisfaction in not bidding if it went through the roof price wise but when I looked in my ebay and saw it had sold for just over 100 quid I was gutted. It was only vg- but even so I think it was very good value. The record was........ Thomas Bailey "just won't move" anybody else got a worn but plays well copy they want to moce one ??? an Ex copy would be nice as well.

Mick The version oif I have no choice on the black nasy LP is great. I believe she was the mother or related in some way to one of black nasy which explains why.

does a quick search realy get you to threads this old ? i've never looked beyond the first couple of pages and never typed a specific 45 into a wants search. I have got to a few random threads via google searches from time to time.

its unlikely mate as this thread is 8 years old............ i've seen a few realy old wants threads resurected lately is there some kind of glitch how do people even find these threads ?

love the al wilson track "help me" also played by soul sam at lifeline the week before.

that example I would class as sweet soul then also on the ballad theme there would be deep soul like this which is quite a bit different in sound but is also slow and also classed as ballads by some people. this is quite a general categorisation but there is a massive difference between sweet and deep in sound and I enjoy both but have far less knowledge on the sweet side of things.

yes i've often wondered about that. I read the small print on the claims form some time ago and came to the conculsion it would be an absolute nightmare if you ever did need to go through the process. And as your friend found out you would probably not get the value you expected to get. Record dealers who do this full time probably have some kind of insurance that covers them for parcels that get lost etc etc. but having said that special delivery does seem very reliable and removes a lot of the risk.
