Just had a call from my daughter Gemma, she and my son Daniel have been "on set today" at Kings Hall, and they are both really p***ed off, they have been there all day from 9.30am till 8.00pm and her words to me were, that they have done f**k all, she said its taken them an hour to film 10 seconds of the actors stretching in the middle of the dancefloor i mean ffs whats all that about eh! And they have also thrown paracetamols all over the floors in the corridors , and trashed the toilets with graffiti over the walls, saying "Wigan casino rules" etc....... They are expecting them to go again tomorrow morning, and to be there for 7.30am, but they have both decided not to go they said the film crew are all up the own arses and a load of arrogant twats. And they don't want to be a part of something thats going to make a mockery of the northern soul scene. Thank god! JB xx

I am one of the "Sunshine Girls" and we are a registered charity with "Birmingham Childrens Hospital" and have so far held 2 NS charity events to raise funds, the first event we did we raised £504.00 and every single penny went to BCH, to put towards what ever they felt neccesary at that time. And our most recent event, which was held on June 27th, and Jumpin Joan kindly DJ'd for us we managed to raise £1.511.00 and again every single penny went to BCH, and this time to help fund "The Kidney Kids Appeal". Exactly!!! I hate people that do that it really pees me off!! And if i see anyone doing it, well they best watch out Pete Robinson (Marrs Bar) would vouch for that Also excessive use of talc, especially when their style of dance as no call for it at all and if they need to use talc, wish they didn't put it in the middle of the dancefloor. And lastly, dancers that do spins, backdrops etc.......it can be very off putting, when you do it to close to other dancers. JB xxxKTFxxx
