Steve, Think I know the one you mean. Haven't seen him since Prestatyn, (or was it Cleethorpes) couple of years ago. Appeared all of a sudden for the Saturday afternoon session, dancing away while the rest of the floor was empty. Completely OTT, dripping in chunky jewellery etc. Is this the same guy? Couldn't believe it - thought it was Roger Banks on a wind up, or someone had got the days for the fancy dress mixed up Anyone know who he is? (Hope it's not anyone on here, if it is apologies )

If that's Carl from Mansfield he was at the last Brighouse Ritz! First time I've seen him anywhere for ages. Great dancer, especially if you like the acrobatic type. Such a smooth mover and must be bloody double jointed

Having read, with great interest the threads on Greatest Record Finds and Simon Soussan Bradford Market seems to have been a great source for new discoveries etc. Coming, originally, from W Yorks would be interested to learn what records were first discovered there and by whom and any other interesting related stories. So come on guys and gals fill me in on the details? - (No doubt Mr Dewhirst as a few to relate )

You might also want to try ebay though don't just put "Entertainers" in the search otherwise you'll come up with loads of stuff but not records !

Seen it on a list recently @ £40, can't think who's list though Anywhere between £35 and £50, depending on condition. Great record !

Remember being at the Ritz (Manchester) a few years back for the Easter Sunday allnighter. Got to about 2.30 and the music was thumping, dancefloor was full, and I was thinking this is absolutely the nuts this scene and the people. All the "normal" people safely tucked up in bed at home and here we are having a whale of a time, just revelling in the atmosphere etc. (mind, by 5.30, feeling knackered,the beer was wearing off and journey home to look forward to, remember then thinking what the fcuk am I doing in a place like this at this ungodly hour, wish I was safely tucked up at home in bed )

For me it's gotta be: Holland, Dozier, Holland - (no one else get's anywhere near them IMHO)! Gamble & Huff Ashford & Simpson
