Hi Guys Just been on a family shopping day in York when we came accross a Black Guy busking with an electric Guitar. He was Jamming away to Gil Scott Heron--Revolution and man was he good.A real natural talented guy realy in the groove one of the best street buskers i've ever heard. Out of interest has anyone else from the York Area come accross him.He was pitched out near W H Smiths

In my opinion the you tube sound file is too poor and messy. It may clean up a bit but i think its a non starter

Reading mine now.Its a really well written book which covers the whole scene.It doesnt get too bogged down with the Wigan years and the Stafford and 100 club Chapters are excellent.Think they got it about right

Back to the song.A bit of searching found it on a Pete Smith Podcast of unreleased stuff credited as SHARON McMAHON---WHERE THERE IS LOVE. Does anyone know if a better soundfile exists anywhere.Its a RealShame stuff like this never gets heard played out.

It is indeed a fantastic tune. Anymore info on it like full TITLE and is it on any format. Its a mystery why this track was used for the video and i agree she appears to be dancing to another track. Also agree she is STUNNING

Think i may have been at the same or a similar night.I think the answer comes down to the skill and experience of the DJs.When a its mixed crowd as you describe the key is to get the floor full with a few standard anthems which builds the atmosphere and creates a feel good factor in the venue.Then introduce underplayed stuff every 3rd or fourth spin with the same tempo to keep continuity.The oldies crowd will stay on the floor if the tempo is right and will enjoy dancing to new stuff.The problem is when DJs keep altering the tempo and style of records the whole set becomes disjointed and people loose interest.I know its a lot harder than it looks but the Structure of the sets is the key in my opinion to a successful night.

Hi Guys I've Had my copy of this for years now, see scan. I have seen other copies with larger writing on label.So is mine with the smaller text still an original or a much later re-issue. If they are both originals which one of the two is the hardest to find.
