  1. You can post what you like, just be accurate. You've portrayed the Gliderdrome as being a handbaggers venue by posting a video of an 80s night, do you work for the BBC by any chance?
  2. Not sure why you've posted this video as it isn't remotely associated with Northern Soul, they have different nights at the Gliderdrome and judging by the amount of women and the tune I would say this is an 80s night.

I know the Mainline lp is the first release but I'm talking about the Expansion Special Reserve 2001 release, if this is the first legitimate 7"release could it be deemed original format? We all know what a pain it is to lug huge boxes of 12s and lps around so would make more sense to take the 7". There are other lp only tracks that have been released on a 7" that get played out regularly and not frowned upon ,for example Wilson Williams on Crates of Soul etc so I don't see this one as any different unless I'm totally off track.

Is the expansion 7" of Just Ask Me an acceptable format to play out as I presume it's a fully licensed version ?As far as I'm aware it has never had a single release before so would it be frowned upon ?

A night of quality soul music from the 70s to the present day at The Ridlington Centre,Boston. Djs Chris Dalton, Chris Rose and Rupe are joined by the ever youthful Soul Sam for what we think is our 10th Anniversary, we lost count after 3 😂 A modern venue with a great sound system really lends itself to the kind of music that we play. £5 on the door 8-1 Guaranteed to be a great night. There is a car park but if its full you can use Boots car park next door as long as you don't leave your vehicle there overnight. Directions - Travelling from Spalding,Grantham,Lincoln directions-follow the signs for Skegness, staying in the left hand lane, as soon as you get across the bridge the road bends to the left and just as you get on that bend take the first exit left onto Quakers Lane,it runs adjacent to the dual carriageway and eventually opens up into a small square, turn right after the road that leads back to the dual carriageway and a narrow road leads to the venue, it will be signposted. Travelling from Spilsby,Skegness direction, follow the dual carriageway, cross the bridge in the right hand lane and go around the roundabout heading back towards Skegness/Spilsby and follow the directions above.

  20. I've been looking at these myself and they've gone from 25 -40 a couple of years ago to 50-75 so I guess it depends how much you wanted it and how much you were prepared to pay, supply and demand will always drive the price up, if you're happy with your purchase then that's all that matters.

UK re-edit label Moton Inc. present more late night boogie down antics the way the man upstairs intended and courtesy of two undisputed experts. The first is Greg Belson: a veteran known as the 'go to authoritarian for gospel soul music', compiler of the Divine Disco series and host of the Divine Chord Gospel Show on LA's dublab.com. He teams up with Paulo Fulci: a DJ and producer out of Bristol who some of you may know from his work as part of the Situation edit crew. Some crafty resplices on offer here: the A side features the funky and lo-slung life affirmer "The Problem Solver, while on the flip there's an uplifting dose of classic disco on "Brand New Feelin'" and some good ol' fashioned soul power as heard on "Try Love".
