  1. Just made enquiries about this and may be able to afford it if anyone has one for sale - £ ??? Not 100% as will depend on price. Needs to be in good nick as will get played out.
  2. If I won the Lottery next week and could afford to, how much would I expect to pay for original copies of :- The Ivorys - Please Stay Gene Toones - What More Do You Want Jon and The Wierdest - Can't Get Over These Memories The Admirations - You Left Me If I did win the lottery next week the first thing I would do is buy Chesterfield Football Club !! If I got 4 Numbers I'd take my Wife out for a Chinese as well.

Take care matey. They will look after you.
  5. What are they. Can't see the links at Work !!
  6. When I wash my hair its always ........
  7. Collect Northern Original Label stuff, the ones I like but play them out. Collected Bowie from the mid - late 60's but a few years ago realised that I am never gonna be able to have everything and a Part collection is not worth having. Too many Bootlegs etc. Decided to sell up the Bowie stuff ( Kept some CD's to listen to but soon won't be part of a big collection ) Northern, realistically, no one will ever have everything so doesn't command the same rules.
  8. $43 !!! Sod that - Are they delivering it by hand ??
  9. Hi Floyd, Not got one for sale and not rubbing it in but, I've got one and play it out every now and then. 1,000 MPH never mind 100 MPH, !! Love it but only gets the odd one or 2 to the floor. Still keep playing it though Lol !! Good look with your search mate. Doesn't come along too often this one. Tezza XX
  10. You are a real gent
  11. What's it up to at present, anybody??
  12. We had one behind our school in Barnsley. ( where they filmed a bit of Kes - Name dropping !! )
  13. I went to a do and someone played The Flasher immediately followed by Woolly Bully ( spell check please !! ) I asked the 'DJ' why ? He said that someone had asked him for them - Had to be in his Box in order to play them - Why ?????
  14. Jon Ford - You Got Me Where You Wanted Not heard that for an age !!
  15. Mine is a bespoke case carrying between 450 - 500. It is Wooden with Metal reinforced corners and a large Heavy Leather carrying strap. It is decorated with Gold Paint that stands out a little when the Light catches it. Looks great but full of shit records (not really) Lol !! If you can get one made then I would do so as they are more personal. Look on a stage at some do's and just row after row of sad looking aluminium boxes. A few stickers on them to sexy them up a bit. There are sites that do Aluminium Boxes but charge between £35 and £50 for carrying up to 50 7" records.
  16. Good call. The dilemma is that if we were all Dancers there would be no collectors to collect and subsequently play the stuff that the Dancers Dance to. Conversely, if we were all collectors there would be no Dancers Dancing to the stuff the collectors collect. We have to offer mutual respect from whichever side of the fence we sit. If you're on the fence then 'The Best of Both Worlds'
  17. Bloody spill chucker !!
  18. Depends how you interpret what has been said. The written word is sometimes a little hard to understand as you are not privet to all the little nuances of the spoken word. People's grammer and semantics are often misconstrued as being an attack or aggressive defence where in reality it is just a well meant response to a question or accusation. Makes it all the more interesting. You're wrong by the way !! Lol !!
  19. I used the term 'Youngsters' as in a previous message i/we were refered to as Older. It appears to have become a battle of Semantics. Yes, do go to nighters which in all honesty has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread. I DJ at Nighters - Not MickH or Ted but still, have a decent collection and can get a floor moving, even with my old records - OVO hasn't been mentioned yet ?!?!? Congratulations on going to Wigan by the way. Used to go every week despite the fact it wasn't my fav venue. Keep Dancing - Keep beleiving and keep arguing your corner. Keeps the mind and the Scene active
  20. Touche !!
  21. In all honesty it gets mixed results. I played it a few times at our club and a few of the older brigade get up and shuffle along but not mainstream enough to appeal to the 'Masses'. Gets a round of applause though and others are starting to play it again so perhaps ... Play and be damned mate " I Am The DJ, I Am What I Play"
  22. Advancement - in the same way the Nazi's advanced on Poland ? Don't care what you think, we are coming in and laying down some new rules. Do we have a refurendum or accept your version of advancement ? Not your thing then don't advance and drag us along with you. Why not just set up your own little club and offer out memberships. If others like your version of advancement then you'll have to rent a bigger Room..
  23. Its a very 'in the 60's' type of record but is still played out occasionally. Personally, love it but not everybody's taste.
