yeah i also think the same as most others .he was a real nice bloke and always had time for people . it was very sad to hear how he took his own life . i had well stoped going by then .

mr M's was a caberet night until about 1 am somthing like that ,they had all these acts on fire eaters singers ect as being a wiganer and coke lad( cleaner who got in the nighter for free) along with others , i know!! i rimember one night we was sat watching this act , there on the little stage was this mad fire eating woman i came out the bogs in the corridore and there she was gulping a glass o water down . i said can i have a sip of your water yeah no problem she said but why arnt you boozing and why are you dressed with a rugby shirt on ? i was trying my best to gob some bombers & started to cough . next thing she bangs my back with the force of car crash . so then she is picking one up ' saying these are sliming pills my mother is on them .dear me love your way to thin to be taking these why ? but anyway yes the other room was indeed gerry's barr . during the week on thursday nights i think .mr m's was a roxy n bowie night .it was a good night i liked it , and oh yer wiganers sat on the right as you went in the first door on the right side o the stage as you went in . all sat on the red plastic comfy seats

actually i find it better on the soul of the foot . you dont need to lift right up to your toes and its the safer way at least at first . its about the surface of the floor and your shoe's not sticking to it . im not so keen on throwing those dramatic shapes with the arms folded .they tend to look a bit pose'y not to mention dated . i think the northern s styl of dancing is (was) about showing off or it used to be , but without actually looking like you are doing. if that makes sense . most may not admit to that' but the old uns who got better and better probably will or might do. but these days i just like to dance and forget the posing .i think all us old uns do:D im old fasiond in some ways as i used to always get in to trouble for saying these lot cant dance n shuldnt be let lose near a dance floor ect ect .the old fasiond view i think ,anyway the music &the scene dont belong to anybody so who cares' but back then i think you did get judged more and you did get noticed if you wasant up to it. or didnt have a certain style but i think all thats changed . do what you want if it it makes you feel good who cares so long as it dont bother others one thing that dose do my head in tho is these buggers that do high kick's and f... hand stands when there aint enogh room to move let alone dance selfish beyond belief

nah not everyone ,i didnt . and i aint a liar .but im going back 30 somthing years . you just got on the dance floor and moved your feet after watching someone you liked spin's just take a little bit o bottle at first, , and a lot of balance hope for the best then ask did it look right ,after that you you know yourself if it felt right or not , give yorself a lot of room and stay away from windows ect' lol small children and pet's

good post . i quite agree with you its bloody annoying . i thought about doing a list of well known big records that are also rare ,for the buggers that use the term rare in the fashion that you mention ,( am not coming to your club you play that rare shit ) i was going to start off with the del larks and eddie parker but i see godzilla has beaten me to it.

in answer to your question in general no i dont think its right to clash , and as i said some of the established venues tend to run more than one club .i had them in mind when i did my post . the established venue i was thinking about i attended for many years but i dont think the promotor would know me if he fell over me , not that that has anything to do with it , what i was also meaning is that some established venues have started to go down hill for many diferent reasons and (not just competition) the promotors friends dj's at one venue have started publicly telling people they are out of order for not coming so i stopped going completly but thats a diferent matter, anyway its not as simple as deciding ....am i for or against new promotions appearing ?. what i was meaning .....is this..( is the new promotion going to be any diferent from the others ??) if not then who needs another? but i take your point my post is ....was confusing
