Allnighters - Was: Worlds Number 1 Allnighter
Not at all Tony. Just proud of our achievement over the last 16 years. I'm equally thrilled it's in Stoke on Trent.

Fantastic. The Windsor Suite will be right up your street. A complimentary beverage will also be on hand. Apologies for assuming you were in Blighty. Stay well.

Another Weird Ric Tic Variation
Pete- Boot most probably. I do remember a fair few odd titles looking similar around 1972. Love the sellers line 'Warning..I live in Belgium' Bless him!

Allnighters - Was: Worlds Number 1 Allnighter
Russ- Didn't see you at the Worlds No.1 All Nighter, you need to get up North and see where the action really is. The oldies.... Unrivalled. New stuff... Andy Dyson, Mick H, Carl/Maria Willingham, Soul Sam etc etc. Anything we can do to entice you or increase numbers, let us know.

Allnighters - Was: Worlds Number 1 Allnighter
Dave- The public vote with their feet and that's why Stoke has led the field in popularity for 16 years. No other All Nighter comes close in numbers.

On the reissue maybe, but the original has A SATISFIED MIND as the A Side- San Francisco/california Record Shopping
Rick Ricardos and Amoeba on Haight St. Hit many times, but catch em when new stock arrives and...... BINGO!- Val Shively. Millions Of Rnb Records
And....great to see Val back in 06 at SoultripUSA. I had Kenny Gamble to my left and VS on the right. My whole life evolved right there and then. He is indeed good company and mind blowingly knowledgeable. Now off to bed.....I got albums to compile for Mirfield Frank in the morning lol!- Val Shively. Millions Of Rnb Records
Paul- Too true. I, rather like Ian probably jump to that conclusion. I found little at Val's when introduced to him in 1975, it didn't stop me finding a handful everytime I went there for a further 15 years. And that's all well before the R&B, Crossover and Modern goldrush. If you make it to Val's, I'm sure you'll find something. As for Ian and I.....we have been put out to graze!!- Harthon
For the record, Weldon Mcdougall licensed the catalogue many times starting with John Anderson/Bernie Binnick in 1975. Goldmine/Soul Supply had the UK rights for well over 10 years from 1991. I would suspect a fair few other deals were done by WM too.- Harthon
No one! The reactivated Soul City logo was(as Phil D says) issued in 1999. The first wave of releases were deleted by 2003. The second batch SC140-160 hit the shelves in 04. The label ceased to be in 07.- Old News Footage Of Bootleggers
Buy Chris Burton's Heart and Soul of Stoke On Trent due in September. The full warts n all story about Out of the Past and much, much more.- Charlotte Stokes
Kawakid- Read the information above. It's not from any LP. I had the only poor quality acetate of which the owner of Festival records agreed to a 300 only pressing in 1978. TIP was a name given to the label by owner Herb Abramson. I think I put the last hundred copies in Soul packs circa 1980. Hopefully clears that one up.- Charlotte Stokes
An official release limited to 300 for the Northern market. This was a demo that turned into Change My Darkness Into Light- The Flirtations on Josie. Herb Abramson, one of the original founders of Atlantic records and owner of the Festival label pressed the copies for me in 1978. After servicing one or two fellow DJs it sank without trace, probably due to the playlist at the time......Muriel Day, Joe 90, Kiki Dee etc etc.- A Question About Legal Reissues (70S)
Don't know too much about it, apart from Martin Koppel secured the rights to Groovesville from Will Davies. A mass of tapes came over with that particular track marked Johnnie Taylor on the tape box.JT had worked at Groovsville, so we put 2+2 together, in the hope of not getting 4 and a half! - They Sold A Million
