  1. Thanks! Must admit to being well pleased with it!
  2. Sunset view of our local windmill as seen through one of our windows this evening.
  3. I’m pleased you enjoyed it. Thanks a lot for listening, and for taking the time to comment. That’s really appreciated. Cheers! 👍
  4. There's a fine selection of photos taken this week by readers in Scotland on the BBC News website, including this one. Pic credit: Lorraine Pratt Link to pics: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-52955408
  5. A freshly selected lucky dip of soul gospel and more from the 1960s to the present day. Featuring sounds from Jason Joshua, Jay Nemor, US Warren, Jimmy Delphs, Sissie Houston, Michelle David - and there are a few vintage radio ads thrown in for good measure - one featuring Curtis Mayfield, and another courtesy of Mitch Ryder. Click, listen, enjoy!
  6. It's in the email address Al posted: https://alhughesmusic.com
  7. No problem. Hope the link is useful to you.
  8. Less than and hour later and from the other side of our apartment the view is all together different!
  9. It's a rainy kind of Sunday morning...
  10. There have been mentions of Jody and his origins on here before. Here's a link I posted just a bit more than a year ago that offers some insight... https://taskandpurpose.com/history/brief-history-jody-original-mr-steal-girl
  11. Great tune, and a shame it is so lo-fi - Nancy Lee - No words for love (MoDo)
  12. Ooh, interesting - and a series that completely passed me by. Will enjoy watching.
  13. We spent all day and night on the balcony yesterday and even managed a small barbecue. Caught sight of the SpaceX rocket as well, which rounded off the day perfectly. Buzzards circling overhead. There were five of them, but they were never close enough for a group pic! This one's been heavily cropped as the birds were way out of range for my limited zoom lens. A balcony visitor...
  14. Nice one. I had a pic published online by a UK newspaper in their selection of reader photos. Think it might have been the Daily Telegraph, but that was years ago.
  15. Some fine photos sent in to BBC News by readers. Images here: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-52771655
  16. Sorry to be a pain, but.. Maybe best posted in a different thread to this one. This is about photography, and pictures members have taken. Hope you don’t mind.
  17. Are they dealing in drugs? Looks like a strip of some sort of tablet in the grass! 🤣
  18. Great! So no crying over spilt milk!
  19. Yes, oystercatchers are very common birds that you can see just about anywhere - on beaches, grasslands, motorway hard shoulders, etc, etc. As for the poor cow - drunk on too much milk, perhaps? 🤪😂 Did it get back out again?
  20. We got strawberries on the balcony - in May! The Prosecco, however, is very much a hardy annual! 😎😉
  21. Exactly so. Seen these countless times on Greek beaches.
  22. Beak shape suggests a blackbird, but yes, I did think it looked a bit too big. Could have fluffed up its feathers, if it was cold. Maybe someone else will have a better idea of what it is.
  23. Looks like a juvenile blackbird, although it's difficult to be sure.
  24. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed a hiss on mine. Maybe I need to listen to it more closely!
