  1. Brilliant stuff as per the normal, Wee, Whispers, Combinations lead singer very much reminded me of McKinley Mitchell, brilliant, the best though, Xavier, fantastic, the Ronnie McNeir is from a superb set, which I don't have and desperately need, there are 4 tracks very similar to the brilliant "Summertime", great stuff again Bob, and thanks Kev
  2. Great post, the albums you mention there Glyn are downright essential ultra soulful albums, something that doesn't really appeal to the "big ticket" boys and girls Kev
  3. Thats the one I have Mike and love it, better record still by him (on the album aswell) in my opinion is "I,m so much in love with you" for me, the best track on the album Kev
  4. Been a big fan of this for a while Pete, records like this, and Jo Ann Garrett "One woman" are as good as Ella Woods, Ty Karim etc, but that naughty word "rare" will stop the likes of, having their day in the sun Kev
  5. Cheers John Have seen a Germam issue of "Stop and think" so you as usual could be right mate Kev
  6. Quite ironic Rodders, my bro in law loves Philly, Salsoul etc, I made him a CD yesterday with Trammps "Where do we go from Here" and "I know that feeling" included. We got talking about the Trammps and I told him about "Stop and think" and told him it was becoming quite hard to find and in demand, so I am interested aswell to know, think Chris Anderton had one on his site, probably long gone now Kev
  7. Freda Payne, can anybody ever spend a better tenner Kev

People starting to cash in now, hence records buried in collections starting to turn up ? Kev
  9. Absolutely Paul, me and Tomo have one, he is technical so he set it up, any chance you could sort it Best Kev
  10. Still do Paul, Tomo put it all on CD for me, Bully then kindly found a 1st issue vinyl for me, its up there with the best from start to finish, had an idea it was the flip to "Somebody", what a double sider then. Kev Ke,
  11. Great record Paul, however, don't know if its on a 45, my favourite by him is "Just to let him break your heart" with Carl Hall backing singer, fantastic album Kev
  12. Love that Wayne, new to me, big fan of that 70's big group sound, that particular track reminded me very much of The New Birth, other similar groups include Sound Experience, 9th Creation and Billion Dollar Band Kev
  13. Close your eyes and listen to The Billion Dollar Band LP , carbon copy of the EWF sound Kev
  14. As mentioned before, "Reasons" got to be my fave, I have the 12 inch of "Africano" and love it, 2 totally different records gives you some concept of their versatility Kev
  15. See where Steve is coming from Wayne, but as long as you like the record no matter what it is, thats all that counts, personally, I buy records for me, the dancefloor is not king, the record room most certainly is, looked at a lot of Filthy playlists and there is some incredible stuff that has been played that you wouldn't associate with the dancefloor, we've all payed over the knot in our time, but like I say, as long as you like it, thats the main deal. Best Kev
  16. Roger that Sid "Heavenly thing" as Gouch suggests is the best side, although all brilliant Kev
  17. Finally got round to listening to this great show, fantastic selection of group perfection and stirring ballads, for me, from The Tenth Dymentions (fantastic) onwards, it was as good as it gets, thanks Bob for putting this show on every week Kev
  18. Is there enough of them about to go round Brian ? Kev
  19. All of the Intruders stuff on Gamble and all of the Delfonics on Phillygroove (nearly all) are fantastic cheapies, Unifics on Kapp and Festivals, Mob etc on Colossus,Moments, Whatnauts on Stang great value and really soulful stuff Kev
