  8. Yes ... Go head on is the flip. I have got it on Movin , picked it up at a snippet of the price me thinks. I recall getting it on Movin before for around 50 out of Butch's box about five years back sold it at a tiddy profit to JM , then up it pops again only two months ago , listed on the B side .... she swoooops and rescue's at 35 bloody quid

I like "She's all mine " now if I am really clever this morning I might be able to give you a sound bite . Not one that you see or hear too often I am afraid. In my opinion their BEST Chi_Lites_She_s_Mine_.mp3
  10. I don't know you both all that well ,let on a few times . I have seen you about and been to your nights (CIS ) and have to say you came over very professional whenever I attended your do's. Promoting is not an easy thing to do and as in all things in life sometimes it's best to step back and recalculate. you have to have a bloody thick skin to shoulder the trials and tribs of a promoter. I think you can take great satisfaction and comfort in the countless posts on here applauding your efforts .What hits home to me is how much your success has affected many souls across the country. The posts stretch the whole of the UK. Don't take it all too seriously , I have seen a few not to mention them (I shall spare their ) that retire then appear to work even more so when they bounce back three weeks later Take a break and come back on a small scale , don't risk too much , have a fun with it and remember "Two can have a paaaaaaaaaarty" , always remember that cause that is most IMPORTANT . God I am even beginning to sound like a manc

A sack of ............ really really really tut tut is there any need for this sort of remark Have some decoooooooooooram please. I think its a wonderful tune I love the fact that someone has produced something today that gets my ears turning into radar mode wondering what is this ! I love the vocals . and the beat just gets ya ! I had to write it down as soon as I heard it. And I would like one too so if anyone would like to sell me one for 10.00 pounds I will hold them in high regard forever for not being greedy like some others are. It's not an expensive record ... it's a just a good one in my opinion. On a great label chicken Tikka or something ? Julian .... play it you willl pack the floor in the months time.. if not I'll show me ...... to the town hall clock. I shall be at Worcester If anyone has got a spare .

  15. SELECTION of the type of sounds that I happen to like features very big if you know what I mean. I will point out that I quite often dance alone ....
  16. You see what I have trouble understanding is how the little man or girl gets beaten and poked with a sharp stick for playing anything that is classed as not being original at small do's- re-issues and unreleased items that are cut to acetate... Yet some can get a studio acetate as they say ........cut a few copies and pass them around to their selected mates to weeeeeeeeeeeen to the mass, the individuals then get biiiiiiiiiiig love for having something unique ... but fake all the same ? Pray tell me what is the difference ? Respect to the comment Can we please realise that the music is only 50% of the DJ Experience .Selection/Timing/Delivery/Communication/Experience/Vision/personality/Sense of Occassion are what will ultimately define DJ skills. A dj wouldn't get my RESPECT just by having a superb original set of records ... all the things above would come into the equasion too. SELECTION of the type of sounds that I happen to like features very big if you know what I mean.
  17. Another way of looking at this is ok say you lived in lets say a little village in the shires and 2 miles down the road a few locals lets say 25 people get together , some know the 10 soul commandments and some don't. I have seen this happen in deepest darkest Essex or was it Suffolk. They had a job knowing the title let alone the label. One girl pops up and says I can do a spot I have collected lots of stuff all inexpensive , not sure if they are originals I know I have some grapevine issues eeeeeer whats that other one 7's but they are all superb sounds. I believe some of these would cost 1000's to buy as original. We could have FUN and appreciate the songs ! and maybe dance ! one day we may even be able to afford a real one ! Would you stop thier limited supply on the night to hear lets say Boogie wonderland and the such like that between them they can muster up as original 12" recordings ? or would you let her play her oh so so soiled copies of items you are NEVER likely to hear on a Sunday night in the shires with your pork pie and a pint. ? I suppose you could stay at home and torment the cat It doesn't warrent the Soul inquestion or Stone throwing in my view. Now if it happened at lets say the 100 .... then that's a different story if you can afford the time to check each Dj's labels that is . I would rather be dancing myself and let those with a massive credit limit on their barclaycards worry about it.
  18. This is dead easy for me cause I am a porper collector Joe Hinton - Got you on my mind - Back beat Hesitations - Go away - Kent 25th Peggy Gaines - When the boy that you love ( is loving you ) Kent 19th Margie Joseph - One More Chance - Volt Honey & the Bees - Help me - Josie Tommie Young - Hit & Run lover - Soul Power Pat Peterman - Love the way you do your thing - 123 June Conquest - What's this I see - Curtom Am I imposing - Rock-way Theresa Lindsey - Daddy Om - Golden World The TSU Tornadoes - What good am I - Atlantic The Chosen Few - Taking all the love I can - Maple Festivals - Checkin out - Blue Rock 100's of fab duke labels could be played too ! a few over 50 in there but i believe my list would still be on budget and there is something a little different for some people too.
  19. Does this mean you don't get tarred and feathered by the madding crowd I feel for the girl that has been exposed ... I wonder if she was a he and built like a brick shi.....t house if the comment would have been made . This all smacks of easy target to me , and double standards by many. Let he that has NEVER had an acetate cut or played a re-issue or boot when they were starting out cast the first stone. Get real we are talking local do here not the bleedin Casino. oooooooh PMT is a maaaaaaarvelous thing
  20. I quite like a bit of Ska , can anyone recomend a good alround CD that I can buy ? Cheers
  21. The worst and funniest thing I have ever heard was Mrs Mills "Lovers Concerto"
  22. I suppose it depends on what your lifestyle is like really . Do you work for a living ? Do you like to do other things in life ? Have you got a family to think about ? or are you alone and totally self indulgent ? The answer will relate to which box you fall in I guess. For me I would probably fall in the "light weight" box my preference being Soul nights over nighters nowadays. I don't do drugs so beyond 3am I start to go down hill. Plus I am 50 and want to live to 70 ! Would be nice to see mini nighters on a Saturday night with a cafe culture afterwards where you can chill out to a bit of mid tempo with a cup of coffee and a bacon butttie Sunday chill out zones from 3pm to 9pm would be brilliant ! eem that would give me time for the other things that are just as important I mean you have to make time for eating loving and lots of woopie ! Do people that do nighters have a sex life ? ...just a thought
