The Newquay soul weekender is back for 2023
NOVEMBER 3rd - 5th 2023
Soul On Wax present,
A fabulous weekend featuring across the board soul music at the Legacy Hotel Victoria in wonderful Newquay, Cornwall.
This weekender offers you a more chilled out vibe than our sister event in St Ives. The Soul On Wax team takes over the delightful Legacy Victoria Hotel for a full weekend of soul music. The music policy is across the board and the DJ's we have selected are not afraid to mix it up a little from the normal. Yes, you will get all of your favourites over the weekend but also some new, rare and fresh tunes to your ears!   
We have set up special room rates with the Legacy Victoria Hotel, a standard double room can be booked from as little as £68.00 including full English breakfast. (Hotel suites and sea-view rooms may be charged at a higher rate). You can book directly with the Legacy Hotel Victoria on Tel: 01637 872255 (please quote soul on wax) when booking. Newquay offers lots of alternative accommodation close to the event, the closest hotels are the Griffin Inn, Travelodge - Newquay Sea Front, Premier Inn Newquay (Seafront) hotel and the Best Western. There are also hundreds of B&B's in Newquay offering prices to suit all budgets.
Event tickets cost just £30 per person for the whole weekend and are not included in hotel room deals.  Special drink deals will also be on offer from the hotel over the weekend event. Your confirmed DJ Line up includes Ted Massey, Matt Trowbridge, Mark Sargeant, Dean Carr,  Kieron Taz Robathan. More DJ's to be announced soon! 
The event offers two great rooms (The main ballroom) and welcomes back the wonderful modern soul lounge, which was a massive success in 2021.
The event start time is Friday at 5 pm with a soul night until 2 am. Saturday features an all-dayer from 12 pm until 2 am and Sunday is our famous goodbye party from 1 pm until 10.30 pm. We have a retailers event area and record dealers area. You also have access to the hotel pool and gym area. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which has great sea views over Newquay Bay. We also alter breakfast times to run from 9 am until 11 am for any late risers.

After the resounding success of the previous "Soul on The Reef" events we return for our fourth event in November 2023
Soul on The Reef are pleased to confirm their partnership with The Taylor Group, owners of The Irish Oak, McGregor's Bar and The Garrison
Music will be played in both The Irish Oak and McGregor's Bar
DJ's from across the UK, providing all lovers of Soul with the music they want to hear
Lunchtime Chill Out sessions from 2:00pm till 6:00pm will be Monday through to Thursday
Monday 6th November will be dedicated to the sounds from Wigan Casino, you are encouraged to dress in the clothes of the era, baggy trousers for the guys, swirly skirts and ankle socks for the girls, an actual Wigan Casino set being recreated in full by one of the DJ's, copied from original tapes of the last night.
Our traditional "Ladies Day" will be Tuesday 7th November, the music chosen and played by our lady DJ's
