Happy New Year to all friends and soul fans. Looking ahead to the summer already, I know some people like plan their soul calendar early, as many did at the back end of 2024 by booking up again, this means we only have 2 hotel rooms left available @ The George Coaching Inn - Piercerebridge.

Many years ago I put this venue on the soul map with some fantastic nights, now with the hotel open again and a couple of years in doing the weekenders in this great location, the Dj line ups and punters have managed to bring the The George back to life again, some having the NYSD WEEKEND as one of the favourites, so we must be doing something right.
Other hotels located best in Darlington or Scotch Corner, I’ll do my best for those seeking assistance if needed, feel free to ask.

We are delighted to confirm that for the fourth consecutive year Soul By The Sea will be returning to Bertorelli Square in Newbiggin by the sea.  An afternoon of family fun with a backdrop of non-stop Northern Soul classics all taking place in the outdoors.  We have rides to keep the kids entertained, a ready made dance floor and all provided at no charge.  The fun kicks off at 11:00 a.m. (it says 12:00 in the event info above because the page doesn't let us enter an earlier time but it will be an 11:00 start) and will go through until 5:00 p.m. with the music being provided by the lads who bring us the Searching For The Young Soul Rebels events at Ashington Comrades.  Each year this event gets bigger and better and we expect this years to be no exception.  The highlight in the Newbiggin summer calendar people keep coming back time and again.  Hope to see you all Out On The Floor.

Edgeley SK Soul Club since it's first night in March 2024 has gone from strength to strength. We have a core of top class local DJ's who play across the board Northern Soul and Motown mixed with the occasional R&B. All our DJ's are free to express themselves as they wish and they always do. On Saturday 12th July 2025 DJ’s Spiv & Stevie Yates will be returning to The BCA Community Centre in Burton on Trent for next installment of 70’s Crossover & Modern Soul Night’s that have become more popular in Burton over the last year.
