About The Event

Third installment of Silktown @ the masonic. Word is definitely spreading, the last two event have built steadily  welcoming back regulars and soul friends anew.     AS you all know we have a simple mantra here at Silktown ..we dont believe in overcomplicating matters to score points or 'be different'

    Its a formula we believe in....and will pursue relentlessly

    Provide good music aimed at the dancefloor...end of !!! and enjoy what you're doing.

    Last night we had over 100 pass through the doors during the night.....travellers from far and wide...even from the States..all enjoying the simple ambiance that good music aimed at the dancefloor provides


    I'll stop there....its not war and peace..but safe to say it was a real pleasure to be in your company last night..each and everyone of you...really enjoyed my Friday night out with you all ...thanks ever so much for making the effort to attend

    Next one is March..details to follow...but rest assured...we keeping it simple..its your night out...not OUR idea of what YOUR night out should be

    a final note..Travelling home....Geese and me both agreed BEST soul night out for ages...and he goes everywhere so I trust his judgement !!

    I’m from Macc,I enjoyed every minute of the soul nite,all the djs played fantastic sounds,a great mix of stuff that worked! Superb venue,if I had travelled 500 miles it would have been worth it,but alas I crawled home😂

    big thanks to jez and team for keeping northern alive in macc 👍

    Massive massive thank you to all who attended Macclesfield masonic last night. What a top night, amazing to be involved with the revival of this great venue.

    Our honourable guests Ethan Brent James Howarth, who had me deserting door duties to race to the dance floor for 'Nite people ' and Jordan Wilson who has become a real force of nature in terms of selection and confidence or delivery. Both brought their A game to keep the dancers happy and create a real buzz on the silky dance floor. My back was proper done in but I still couldn't resist a shuffle😁

    Music wise, the emphasis truly is on the dancefloor, everything from big current sounds, quality oldies to out and out classics from the roots of the scene, it all goes down. Always room to try something fresh though and great to see the below get a great reception. 

     

    Our next is March 21st, proper Northern soul for dancers, simple!
