There's someone, probably from this very site, has 5 mint original copies of 'New Girl' by The Accents on Ebay. Thing is, wasn't the original issue called 'Spring Song', or am I thinking of another record entirely?

The original issue of the 45 had the title as "Spring Song".

Zeke Brown of the group had no idea about that when I asked him.

Slightly off topic...I've had three visually immaculate copies of this over the last 20-odd years and they all 'hiss' badly. Am i just unlucky or are they all like this?

Like a lot of M-Pac, Mar-V-Lus or One-Der-Ful pressings, they all play with a background hiss. Indeed, like a lot of Chicago pressed records.

And yes - first issues of these were titled "The Spring Song" and "(New Girl)" in brackets.
