UK 45s

JOHNNY HARTMAN: I Can't Help It (UK HMV DEMO) EX+ £20

Unknown beat ballad - listen to the sound clip.

JOHNNY MATHIS: Come Back (UK HMV) MINT- £20

DONNIE ELBERT: This Old Heart Of Mine (UK Polydor) EX (no centre) £5

SYLVIE VARTAN: I Made My Choice (UK RCA) EX-/VG++ £40

This had a small series of scuffs on the B-side, though not affecting play. Both sides play perfect.

US 45s

OTIS BUSH: So Much Love (Cha Cha) EX £30

THE MODS: Dry My Eyes (Fona) VG- £40

This is covered in marks, but plays great. Check out the sound clip.

HERB & DORIS: Somebody Somewhere Needs You (Hip) EX-/VG++ £50

A small piece of paper is pressed in a couple of grooves, causing a background pop during the fade-out.

RICK & FLOYD: Baby You Got Me Going (Lasco) MINT £10

Excellent semi-known that deserves plays.

TRUETONES: Girls Are Sentimental / One More Time (LSP) EX £40

Brilliant double-sider - listen to both sides in the sound clips.

BILLY BLAND: All I Wanna Do Is Cry (Old Town) EX- £15

Small 1/4" flaw in the run-in which does not penetrate through the vinyl.

THE PEPPERS: Little Piece Of Paper (Press) MINT- £25

Group vocal with an intro reminiscent of "Have Love Will Travel".

THE DYNAMICS: Old Shoes & Rice (SAA-CE) EX-/VG+ £100

Has a small scratch which sounds for about 6 revs during the middle - I've left it on the sound clip for all to hear.

LOUISE LEWIS, MISS LL: Wee Oo, I'll Let It Be You Babe (Skyway) EX £40

Sky-blue coloured label - definite original, take note!

Sylvie Vartan recording?

Great track that Sylvie Vartan - I didn't actually realise it came out on UK til I got a demo off ebay a few weeks ago.

You're joking of course Pete! Actually, it was her first UK release, but the only one (it appears) of real credibility. Three other UK RCA singles are valued at around £8 - £12, but only likely to sell to collectors of "chanson".

I wasn't joking, honestly - in all those years of collecting UK, I didn't know about it!

Yes I have the US copy of it, like Pete I never knew there was a UK releases of it, great tune, she had loads of releases in France.
