i don't think i converted anyone...but am damned glad my wife converted me from david Bowie/Roxy music.

I can rember the first all dayer she took me to at the Ritz in Manchester one Sunday afternoon in 1976....wow i can still remmber the atmospher when i walked through the doors. i could not believe it and have been hooked ever since....Thanks Pat xxx

oh yes i remember the bouncy dance floor. they took it out years later...was not a the same as walking up those steps when some hot soul record took you by the heart and carried you onto the dance floor.

I remember way back in the early 80's , a young lad who was still at school but doing his own window cleaning bussiness at the weekends came to clean my windows . I had not played any Northern for years it was all laid under my bed and in the loft.This perticular Sunday morning i decided drag it out and play some old bits , there was a loud knock on my window and the young lad shouted with a massive grin on his face ''Whats that music your playing '' . The rest is history . He is a very good friend to one or two on here , Byrney and Mark from Leeds . his name is Paul Wain(Wainey from Derby) ,he still loves his soul to this day .
