Posted December 5, 200915 yr Got this through today. yet another stunner for the box. Love this tune, used to hear it back int' day, but forgot how good it was til' I heard it a few weeks ago, so the hunt was on again. Found this one on the web for £6, and I think you'll agree it looks beautiful, I love these early Tamla Demos, Just something about them, plain but pretty. I also thought I'd include a piccy of what I play my old tunes on, a 70's Music centre that I picked up from a local charity shop. Oh yes, Retro indeed Edited December 5, 200915 yr by steveluigi
December 5, 200915 yr Oh yes, Retro indeed I like that Steve, does the tapedeck still work? I used to spend hours round my grandad's recording all my vinyl onto something similar. Happy days
December 5, 200915 yr Author Yes Matt the tape deck does work, I made sure of that before I bought it, cos I wanted to transfer some tapes that I had onto CD to play in the car. So I can do that from the headphone socket into the audio in on the pc. And an added bonus is that it still has the original 2 separate microphones so you can do a true stereo live recording. Happy days indeed. Edited December 5, 200915 yr by steveluigi

Agree totally, this one of mine quite a recent addition too, somehow I didn't acquire this tune back in the 70's when I was buying as much as I could afford out of my wages from Soul Bowl. Brilliant record. Edited December 5, 200915 yr by 45cellar

December 6, 200915 yr LMAO. I have exactly the same "music centre" in my bedroom which I use as a second deck! PS. I hope you bought a new stylus before playing anything!
December 6, 200915 yr This one ain't bad either. But sitting & listening in Mr M's at Wigan to Tell Me It's Just A Rumour was something to cherrish, remember the sound of feet stomping the dance floor as loudly as the record itself. N Edited December 6, 200915 yr by POTTERIESPECK
