Can anybody help with a picture/scan of the cover of the Politicians LP on Hot Wax? Or any good shots of McKinley Jackson?

They will have to be high resolution images as they are for Keith Rylatt's Groovesville USA book.

Keith already asked me, unfortunatly McKinley has had a much traveled life and doesn't have any photo's of his past. I have the LP somewhere but it is in storage, someone else must have it.

In fact, the pictures are needed to accompany that very same article. Dave has given us the OK to use it for the book.

I think Keith has already asked Dave for pictures.

Hope so Stuart. I just checked with a colleague @ Demon and they have nothing for McKinley Jackson and/or the Politicians. A decent scan of the album sleeve might be the best you'll get.

You could try Blues & Soul as they had a decent archive of old Press Photos and Bios etc but I'm not sure who to contact there these days.......

Blues & Soul might be a worth a call, although having trawled through their archive when doing The In Crowd I don't remember seeing many Invictus/Hot Wax pictures.

I think there is a picture of him on the inside sleeve of that un-issued triple motown record company album,not 100% though.

OK, just got of the phone with McKinley. He has one photo of the group and one of the Just Brothers. But not sure what your time scales are, as technology is not their thing so they would have to send it to me by post.
