Just got a bunch of records in and playing through them as you do late on a Monday night on the portable record player on the kitchen table, stuck on this little gem of a tune from 1974 Leon Collins - I Just Wanna Say I Love You - Elf E8001 pretty sure this must have been played sometime in the Crossover/70's rooms, cheap as the chippies at £25.00 this has gone straight in the playbox, stunning self penned top tuneage from Leon Collins out of Boston, fantastic vocal with swirling female backing....I'm hooked as I'm playing it now for the third time on the bounce, quality with that Don Thomas 'Come On Train' kind of groove going on, nice flip too.

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

IMHO you need the Green issue for the harder mix of IJWSILY and the White issue for KILY.

Craig Moerer has 61 copies of the White issue if anyone wants one.

These days I think the Green issue is harder to find.

Now can another anorak  fill in the details for the British copy which I guess has the same mix as the Green one.

Which surprises me, as IIRC this was the one readily available at the time - or were there not as many imported as it seemed?

Got 2 copies of this, £11 each including postage if anybody wants one. Minty condition

Thanks Kenthumbsup.gif

I think that answers my question anyway, the two tracks being the same length, sound the same and are way below 4 mins, so I'd say the UK release is the same as the US vocal / Instrumental release.

The side with 'knowing' is just over 4 mins long - I've not found out my US copy of it to compare it though yet to see how different they are to each other.
