That Dynamics on Brainstorm is a great double sider and the label looks lovely.

Anyone know where this Brainstorm label is from (Chicago maybe?).

I got mine, I recall, in a Soul Bowl soul pack - happy days

Brainstorm was a Leo Austell label from Chicago. The Dynamics on Brainstorm are actually just the Sheppards under a different name.

No, the Black Gold group was Detroit group that cut a lot of records on different labels. There was a long article about them in There's that beat. This group was just a one-off Chicago record and, according to Mill Edwards, was just the Sheppards. Thanks.

She' s For Real on Black Gold is normally around £5/ £10 region. The album , ' What A Shame ' on same label is worth picking up around £30 / £35 for that and ' Bless You ' ' Funky Key ' being other good tracks.
