been watching lots of videos on youtube about wigan, etc (never been, as i was in diapers and living in ohio at the time!).

two questions:

- what kind of shoes did people wear? sometimes it looks like hard sole dress shoes (wingtips, oxfords, etc) and some people look like they are wearing bowling shoes? what did people look for in a dancing shoe? that dancing looks SO INTENSE that it seems like those shoes would kill your feet.

- what were in those gym bags? records?

ok - just a couple of silly questions from an outsider!

THINK THESE WERE KNOWN AS COASTERS, ALSO THERE WERE LOAFERS WITH THE WEAVED FRONT AND WERE APTLY NAMED LOAFER COASTERS.

never able ti go to Wigan so no idea. But when i go out i always wear white nike trainers cause i can't stand shoes.

I have to admit I think Soul Shoes look like something my grandad would wear..and to think..all you kids going to nighters in the 60s and you could have been wearing these babies which I've just purchased..Adidas Italia from 1960

Dont know about Wigan and that, but in 2010 i'm strictly Adidas or Kickers.
