Er... i've never been a venue.

11.5 if you include 6 hills

What is the question? Is it 'how many venues have you been to'?

I don't think I could remember all the do's in the Manchester area that I have been to, let alone the whole country!

I do know that I have been to fourteen different weekenders over the years. (this was nine when I 1st typed it lol)

I will try and have a think about All- Nighters, and get back to you.

Normal soul nights not a chance of remembering them all.

It is forty years this year since my 1st Soul Night, (Blackpool Mecca) over that if you count local Disco and youth club days.

Well I don't own any speedos, but I do have a whistle, but in my defence I was a Ref in the local league in the early 80s.

In 46 years of schlepping up , down and across this sceptered isle of ours to venues , I have forgotten more than I can recall .

There have been good ones , bad ones , memorable ones and forgettable ones , but they have all had the one uniting factor : they have all contributed to the experience , development and retaining the interest for this scene of ours and the music that provides the soundtrack to it .

Totally agree, it's been a hell of a journey and an experience.

Somewhere (though God know's where) I have a copy of Joey Heatherton's WYCMB with all the venues I'd been to at that point ('78 ish) written on the sleeve. It was in the high 20's then and I'd only been on the scene a couple of years.
