Ivy Jo "I can feel the pain" VIP 25063 released 1970

Is this one of those records that is good but just not good enough for mass acceptance? He's got a decent voice riding on a thundering rhythm, good song as well. It ticks the rarity box as its a steady £100 sound and quite tricky to locate. I've played it a few times over the years - lets just say the reaction was between cool and cold. However good old Paul Johnson from Bolton played it in his set at Lowton recently to a decent response. What does the forum think - could it go if more DJs got behind it or is it just anothers decent collectors sound?

always curious,

derek

Isnt there suppoused to be an album of his sitting in the motown vaults? Don't believe what it says on the label.

Hi Derek,

Been after a copy for quite a while, I think it's fantastic. Last one on ebay went for an unbelievable price[£250] I think. Anybody got one for sale?

Best, Phil.

Brilliant tune.

I think Manship had one for £150 the other week.

I nearly got it myself but I'm skint :D

It would be straight in my playbox :D

Hi Derek

A fantastic tune that's always on my Motown playlist. Won't fill the floor but won't clear it either; but who cares, it's brill. Will be playing it this Saturday at our monthly Motown extravaganza.

Bloody wanker I am - sold my last copy at Stafford after some geezer had read the review I did in Derek's mag 'Shades'. I once found 3 copies on Accrington market and only walked away with one for 50p. Tosser or what!!!!
