February 2, 201114 yr You need to ask yourself are there 100 local people that would go. It would have to be locals as I can't see people travelling on a Sunday for a 6-10 session. Lets face it you can't get a 100 people to go to some all nighters!

February 2, 201114 yr If It Gets Me Out Of Going To Church , Then I'll Go There would have to be a DJ spot in it for you though
February 2, 201114 yr Keith, yep I agree with Joan it would have to be 2 till 9 or 10pm to attract travellers aswell. May be it should be based on the Taste of Honey conscept timings, quality music with top Dj's. Dont think it will work with just locals ie Crown at Nantwich. Any way wot ever you decide to do I'll be there to support it.
February 2, 201114 yr mmmm difficult one that Keith There does seem one or two about 'locally'. Me and Geese do one in Congleton on the first Sunday of the month, I believe there's also one started in Winsford and of course Kev does a very popular one at Queens in Basford----oh and the Wheel which you dont need telling is rammed everytime. As Joan says you're probably 'pitching' at a more local market at least initially., taking note of your times We count ourselves very lucky in that our 'Pavillion' do is supported by both locals and folks from further afield. I know Kev's sessions also attract a mixture of both. As you know a fair few from Crewe also attend the Wheel. I'm no expert on this, and this is only opinion, but perhaps a chat locally to folks to gauge demand. As has been mentioned it can sometimes be difficult to 'fill' allnighters and thats with 9-10 hours of choons. ....perhaps if numbers expected through the door wasn't a driving force in determining its success--then maybe you could persevere over a few months and see what happened
February 3, 201114 yr Keith, never gonna get 100 on a Sunday in Crewe. They are all at home listening to me on www.thisisthecat.com every Sunday 17.00-19.00! Seriously, Dave and I work our tits off promoting "Dab" on a Saturday night and get between 50 and 80, mostly travellers...some of the oldies crowd will come, but if you aint playing oldies they wont come again..... I always thought some kind of Sunday night sesion might work but I always thought it would be more of a collectors event....few like minded guys in a bar, nice tunes, few beers...but never 100 people in on a Sunday. Go out there and prove me wrong mate! Chris.
