Yeah that rings a bell now. It was mentioned to me by someone when I had the record (which was probably 15 years ago) that it was a version of shamettes. Think that was just idle chit-chat at a nighter and probably is a different song.

the sinceres record is the a-side and is well known to sweet soul collectors. it has no relation to the five stairsteps song but is killer.
