Here's how it works - The best underplayed track at the moment is The Artistics - On & On.

It could & should get played out more. It would go down well at either the 100 Club or Soul Essence!

Or so I say. If I'm wrong (which happens more frequently than I'd like) tell me what it is & post up an mp3.

Following on, if you have a more deserving choice than the last person to post - just add a new post.

The only rule is you can't nominate unless you post up an mp3

Haven't a clue what the play status of this great Billy Stewart is. but you have to look hard to find a better good time feel than this. Any potential compilation deserves a Billy Stewart.

Can anyone honestly say that many of the new discoveries are as downright brilliant as this classic?

Haven't a clue what the play status of this great Billy Stewart is. but you have to look hard to find a better good time feel than this. Any potential compilation deserves a Billy Stewart.

Its allready on one carnt remember the title, Chess Lable comp Thing. got it @ home some where will look it up for you if you want

Now, what about this great record. Once again, I have no idea if it's played or not.I am playing it a lot today though.

Just sorting through a few 45s and played this and my missus reckons she loves it. Im not so sure myself but its still a nice instrumental for a Saturday afternoon.What do you think?

This very beautiful Wilson Pickett needs to be nominated. I don't know whether this was ever a single, but you can try for the 1973 RCA LP on e bay for about $3. A magical record.

Yes the Wilson Pickett is easy to get on a 7" and a great choooon :wicked:

The Bettye Scott & The Del -Vets is growing on me even though I don't normally listen that much to this style of 70s soul. Bettye's vocal control is superb.

Why don't you stick the Billy Storm up in the SS Challenge/underplayed thread?
