October 23, 201113 yr Hello There's a vocal version called 'Get Ready For This' by Revelation on RSO Records. It's the same song but not the same backing track.

October 23, 201113 yr The revelation record is known as a classic dance / pre-house track, at least in chicago
October 23, 201113 yr Nooooooo!! I'm NOT ready for this!!! what is going on!! I love the instrumental! I'm so glad I haven't heard this before!.... I will now try to erase it from my memory and pretend it never happened!!
October 23, 201113 yr my first ever post on soul forum was about this record !, and i still believe this is true, back in the mid 70,s there was loads of saturday night variety shows on telly, i can remember something like seaside special or a game show with brucie or somebody like that had some dancers and possibly a group doing a track with a chorus "taking you home to see mama" the backing was deffo are you ready for this, over the years ive bought loads of records with taking you home to see mama type titles, but no result, surely someone on here aged 50 plus was getting ready on a saturday night to go out and saw this, or was it a dream (not all medication was prescribed in them days)
October 24, 201113 yr Author One of the worst tunes ever played-not Northern-not Soul. So there! Hey Circumference, no one said it was northern, but it is certainly soul. Does every record you like have to be 'northern'? Open your mind brother.
