OK, I know most Northern Soul tracks have the feelgood factor and can turn your glum mood into a happy one in an instant. But for everyone there is 'that' tune that works better then most.

This is one of mine, OK. before you say it it is a bit cheesy, but does that matter as long as it makes you feel good?? I love it anyway and it certainly 'Cheers me up' :-)

Home Is Where The Heart Is - the ultimate soul together record back in the early 80s, also very 'up' and of the same period Catch Me by the Pockets (now that's a PROPER record), Eddie Holman 'Where Have You Been All My Life'.

On a more 'northern' line Catch You On The Rebound - Brenton Wood (a big fav of Les Cokell's)... And the Parliaments Don't Be Sore At Me - if for no other reason than the lyric 'my mouth wrote a cheque that my heart couldn't cash'.
