It can't be just us idiots over here who have all the best collections :shades:

What about people such as James Brown or Bobby Womack - they must have an impressive cellar full of soul?

I heard a while back that Phil Spector has a huge collection of rarities - any truth in that?

Anyone got any interesting stories?

I imagine most artists couldnt afford to keep the vinyl - especially with us nutters paying so much!

Cheers

Shane

Phil Spector must have an amazing back catalogue with loads of unissued cuts. Theres at least ten he did with Kell Osbourne that never saw the light of day.

I know he's not a soul star but Elton John has a massive collection (or did have) :shades:

Nearly Phil that never saw the light of day after that court case. Never really heard the outcome of all that ...

Dave Godin used to sell him sounds at the original Soul City shop in '60s and according to the late DG, Elton John has a formidable Uk label collection.
