Hats off to anyone actually christianed General!

Always loved 'Please don't walk away' too. Even Sweet Pea Atkinson's version is OK.

I'd call that boogie or disco. Not funk as it has got a straight 4/4 drum pattern. A decent version of the Storm track on Rosette.

Athough Storm doesn't have a date on the label, I'm sure Storm is the cover?

The General Johnson version is from 1978 and credits General Johnson as writer, I'm sure Storms version credits someone else. Who's telling porkys ?

Me, you've got me hanging on a string! Give me just a little more time and I'll find a scan. Storm came out a few years later, but as they say ' no one like a smart arse' & nobody likes me! Hick (S)!

-yes, a good point, but, none the less, with General N's voice it has a soulful quality, which is not to be denied-I think its worth a listen.....

Hmmm.. i wouldn't call this the same as Storm, there's similarities but it's not even really close except for the title..

Also i must say i kinda loathe this track (too aerobicsdisco) but have a copy so if anyone wants one it's 1£ + shipping

best
