looking for a copy of the capitols cool jerk/hello stranger.

must be the dark blue with 2 silver lines and small silver karen design and im guessing its a moulded label.

Ahh..Is the one you describe in the "want" the first press? Doesn't seem to be loads about. I thought it was a big hit. Did it get popular on a "soon after" re-release/second issue? Also, which demo's are the first versions?

i dont know much about other presses/runs....but it does seem as though the first presses of hello stranger seem to be same as the acetate mentioned,and later the version seems to clean and somehow loses that more diy feel about it.

this first press is the same as the acetate,and a much better rare soul sound about it.

I have just bought a copy of it for the cool jerk side. Thought I would flip it over and listen to the other side, what a fantastic track, I didn't know of it before. The copy I have has the two silver lines and sounds like a great version to me.
