June 17, 201311 yr No we had our own version in the early 80s' pretty lame and not the same show as Don Cornelius's one, and yes Box set was issued, but it misses some of the best acts and concerntrates on major names. Should be easy to find though......Steve
June 18, 201311 yr The proper Soul Train was definitely shown over here in the early days of Channel 4, I probably haven't got them now but I used to have a few shows taped which someone swapped me, they weren't current shows though, they were 70's ones, I distinctly remember Little Anthony and Sly Stone being on there.

June 18, 201311 yr on the subject of soul on tv......................does anyone remember the Flip Wilson show ??? me thinks it was shown on BBC2 on a sunday night-remember goin' to a mate's to watch it [we coudn't receive beeb2 at our house] recolect seeing the TEMPTATIONS etc amongst others on this USA show recon 'bout 71??
