Just at work in the shop listening to Atlantic 2NG on the Macbook. All of a sudden, I'm instantly transformed back to 1975. Can't wipe the smile off my face.

I had completely forgotten how fantastic this record is:

Thelma Houston - I Ain't Going Nowhere.

I remember it was huge, and LP only.

How the hell we danced to it I just can't understand.   brilliant  brilliant

Sorry, I just had an epiphany. :D

Good call Phil, The LP came out on MOWEST in the US with 10 tracks and on MOWEST in the UK with 3 extra tracks, one of which was her version of "I Ain't Going Nowhere" (co written by Gloria Jones). I also heard it at the Mecca 74/75 and bought the then, still available LP at a local shop a few days later.

Yes, I had the LP back then John and used to play it out, but for some reason I forgot about it. And yes Mecca deffo, I never went to the casino.

Gonna add something in the same vein, nothing to do with Wigan casino and all that, but the flip of Billy Preston - 'The Girls got it' on Capitol has a track called 'The Night' thats recently got the "Wow! I Forgot How Great This Is………." from me, check it out...
