dear UK tamla motown collectors ,

since many years a couple of people (2) told me the existence of the Eddie Holland LP on UK Oriole .

apparently a London based collector has a copy .

has  anybody ever seen one or is this a collectors fantasy ?

Unfortunately, the website only covers US and UK 45s to this point.  Stephane has plans to cover LPs when the 45s are finished.  But we're only into mid 1965 at this point.  So, it will be at least a few years before we get to LPs.  However, you could send an e-mail to the administrator, and perhaps he can ask his sources if the UK LP was ever pressed up and sold.  I imagine that Harry Weinger and Keith Hughes would have that information.  Why don't you contact them directly?

I just took a look in Sharon Davis's book.

She lists 7 Motown LPs released on UK Oriole but - no Eddie Holland.

But that's not to say she is 100% correct.

Ooh, it's another one like the 'Volumes' on UK 'Pama' mystery :shhh:

I collect Motown L.Ps and have the Eddie Holland on US but never heard of an Oriole copy.

no metion in record collector guide just one 45 on oriole
