Well the post header says it all really.
I have had a 12" album under heavy books for about 6 weeks thinking it might work, but no.

So any tried and tested methods that actually work?
Thanks

Not tried this personally but here is an internet link.

Not sure about a book on the hot glass in case of fire but guess as brick would provide weight provided gently placed.

A further link that doesn't include glass or oven. Presume a conservatory would be ideal place for this process as the heat in summer can be very warm.

I have tried heat. If you get it slightly to hot it flattens the warp out fine, but distorts the playing grooves!!

Thanks for the suggestions. Not tried any yet but think I'll give the glass and oven method a go. Don't think there'll be enough heat outside or even in a conservatory for the tiles method to work.
Thanks again

I second Vinyl Flat.  I had a 50s R&B Excello 45 with a severe dish warp.  I have a friend that has one.  It took four times in the heating pouch (maybe 8+ hours), but it's completely flat now and plays great!

What temperature in an oven is right please?

Should the oven fan be switched on or off?  :g:

Cheers

Richard

Put record between 2 thin, inflexible surfaces (safety glass would do), into a trouser press and then use clamps to get a really tight fit. switch on, leave 12 hours, intermittingly switching on.
