This is by a group called Splash featuring August Collins (Lead).  The song is called "So Long Joe" on Blue Soul Records (#101B).  The A side is "Who is Your Friend" (#101A).  Issued in 1973.  Hope this is useful - Roger

who it was.  Nice one, even been able to find the sample I've done of it, which for some reason

couldn't find last night.  :thumbsup:

This is the only time I have ever heard this single mentioned on this forum barring when Steve Clancy
