If you're selling on Ebay do you take a risk and ask a low starting price and calculate it will reach it's expected value at the end of the auction or do you start with a high price just in case it doesn't ?

list on ebay uk,make sure you offer international postage,this way they appear on ebay.com aswell,start at 99p for 10 days,no reserve,you will get what they are worth mate.

Always start mine at 99p...usually reach what they are worth.......now and again miss out a bit but swings and roundabouts.Always amazed when I check completed listings of those that put ridiculous prices on...........row after row unsold again and again.How do You motivate Yourself to keep listing?Madness

An Ebay seller told me he'd listed a Sam Fletcher at £100.00 and only got one bid, he saw it sell a month later for £280.00, that seller started at £19.99.

Personally, I think that common records should be listed at the minimum you want for them, I've had a few at 99p. In demand/rare records will always find their price on an auction no matter what you start them at.

the thing about eBay is that you are trying to find a buyer in 7 days, so records can go for wildly different prices. I've listed things that don't sell and just re-listed them at the same price to see them take off sometimes on the 3rd listing.

no point trying to second guess ebay

99p start always, it will find it's own level. Start too high puts bidders off, start low it's a 'come and get me'
