Booted on a Simon S "Wright Sounds" boot plus Virtue. 1st scan is original, 2nd a recent look-a-like

To be honest Chris, the bottom label looks more like a scanned label stuck on a bootleg or a carver, with an "X" drawn on for effect.  Are you sure there's a recent spate of Minit boots of this?

Look at the difference between the labels, text, amount text, colours, did find some on various sites that were sold, can't say how many made but the bottom scan is a boot.

Is there anything in the run out groove of the original ? do the Minit's have any stamps etc?

 

I am away for a few weeks so can't exactly say what's on the run-out apart from that there is a machined stamp matrix on it.

I used to have this on a matt black label boot in the 70's, a very low cut press if I remember correctly with a wide run in groove.

Probably on "Wright Sounds" a S Soussan label.
