October 16, 200618 yr Dave was in the process of doing Stanley's biography and had been in regular contact with him, even persuading him to appear at the March 07 Prestatyn weekender! on the numerous times Dave spoke to him he never mentioned any health problems, Stanleys cause of death was a heart attack, in the last half an hour Dave has spoken to his family, he had on going heart problems which he chose to ignore as he wished to perform right to the end, he died at 3.30am (U.S time) Saturday morning. His funeral is this coming Friday. All good wishes will be passed onto his family. Rest Easy Stanley

October 17, 200618 yr Such bad news this one. I can confirm that STANLEY MITCHELL WAS SIGNED FOR PRESTATYN 2007. He had returned his contract to appear 3 weeks ago after a lot of hard work behind the scenes by Dave Welding. he was going to be our "Surprise" artist and sing "get it baby" & "Quit twisting my arm" We seem to be saying week in week out about artist passing away without getting to appear here as we keep saying you have to see them before its too late. Our thoughts are with Stanleys family at this sad time Rob & karen Wigley on behalf of the Prestatyn Team
